According to an
article posted on the BBC website last week, Merseyside Fire and Rescue has cut its sickness absence rates in half by introducing an incentive scheme that rewards 100% attendance.
Employees who go 12 months without a day off sick in the organisation are entered into a prize draw with the chance to win a hatchback, while staff who go three months without an absence can win £1,000 in cash or department store vouchers.
Following the introduction of the incentive scheme, the average number of days that employees take off sick in the organisation has decreased from over 11 days per year in 2004 to 5.5 days per year in 2009.
By showing you at-a-glance how many sick days each employee in your organisation has had in a calendar year, LeaveMaster allows you to easily identify and reward staff whose exemplary attendance records may otherwise have gone unnoticed.
