According to the latest CBI/Pfizer Absence and Workplace Health Survey, non-genuine sickness absence cost the British economy over £2.7 billion last year.
The survey found that 190 million working days were lost to absence last year, of which 30.4 million days were lost as a result of employees taking “sickies” when they weren’t really ill.
The survey also found that the average UK employee took 6.5 days off sick in 2010.
By using LeaveMaster in conjunction with the Bradford Factor, you can identify employees whose unwarranted absences are damaging your business.
