According to a survey of small companies although small businesses do not experience the same high levels of absenteeism as larger companies, absenteeism stills impacts their bottom line.
The survey was conducted by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). They found that, on average, small businesses only experience 2.4 days of sickness absence per employee each year, which is significantly lower than the national average of 7.7 days per employee per year.
However, the FSB also found that, in the last year, sickness absence cost small companies an average of £1,500, while 9% of small businesses lost more than £5,000 as a result of absenteeism.
Companies of all sizes, from small to medium sized enterprises to large businesses, use LeaveMaster to reduce their absenteeism levels and streamline their absence management processes.
