UK employees commonly take sick days in order to stay at home and watch television, a research survey has found.
According to an absence survey conducted by Kronos, 50% of UK employees call in sick because they want to watch TV at home. 69% of these employees are in the 16 to 24 age group.
The survey also found that 43% of employees in the UK admit to taking days off sick when they are not really ill.
